Money Plant (Lunaria)

Money may not grow on trees, but it does grow on wildflowers! Also known as Honesty, Moonflower, and Silver Pennies, Chinese Money, and Lunaria, these silvery translucent seedpods grow the size of silver dollars. They have been popular in dried flower arrangements since colonial times. The fragrant lavender flowers also attract butterflies when they are in bloom.

Planting Instructions:

Best if planted outside in Fall or very early Spring. If cold is past, place seeds just below the soil surface at 70F. Keep moist. Water seedlings until established; water mature plants occasionally, though they also tolerate drought. This plant usually produces foliage in its first year, coming to its full height and blooming in the second. It usually self-sows in the right growing conditions.
