Lemon Balm

Lemon Balm, common balm, or balm mint is a perennial herb native to Southern Europe and is beloved for its lemon-scented, mint-like leaves that are often used to make refreshing, lemony hot and cold drinks. It is a popular ingredient of herbal teas, having a pleasant flavor and calming effect. Also used to treat colds, flu and indigestion. The leaves also add a tart lemony flavor to green and fruit salads as well as meats and poultry.

Plant 1/4 inch in soil after danger of frost has passed in Spring.
