Planting:
Plant seeds as soon as the soil can be worked in the Spring and soil temperature reaches about 45F. For a Fall crop, plant in late Summer for a harvest after the first frost. In milder climates, it is possible to plant in late Fall for overwintering and an early Spring harvest. Use a hoe handle or stick to make a 1/2 inch furrow deep down the center of the ridge. Plant 3-4 seeds in the furrows spaced 3 inches apart within the rows. Cover lightly with loose soil then sprinkle with water.
