Austrian Winter Pea or "Field Pea" is a low-growing, cool season, viney legume that supplies a protein rich and delicious food source all winter long. Austrian winter pea greens taste sweet and delicious, almost identical to sugar snap peas, but with a soft, lettuce-like texture. Pea flowers are in pink, purple, and white. Sow by early early fall for plants that will over winter and put on lush growth in early spring.
