Grandpa Ott's Morning Glory is a stunning velvety deep violet flower on extremely vigorous, up to 15 ft. long vines with large heart-shaped leaves. Blooms up to 3 inches wide will cover the vines and open to reveal pink-red starred throats in the morning that are very attractive to hummingbirds. Incredibly easy to grow, it will self sow even in cold climates. Though it is grown as an annual, it can survive as a perennial in Zones 10 and 11.

Planting Instructions:
Sow seeds in spring just below the soil surface at 70F. Keep moist. These plants do well in well-drained moist soil, but tolerate reasonably dry soil. They prefer full sun. The vines grow very quickly, especially in heat; they will need significant support such as a fence or arbor. Without support, they will simply trail along the ground until they find something to climb. This plant self-sows readily and attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
