Chinese broccoli, also called "Gai Lan" in Cantonese Chinese, is a leaf vegetable with thick, flat, glossy blue-green leaves with thick stems, and florets similar to broccoli.  Growing Chinese broccoli plants is very easy. These plants are very forgiving and do well with minimal care. These plants grow best under cooler conditions.
