Lady Slipper Radish has a beautiful bright color and long roots with blunt tips. A unique change from the traditional red radish. Lady Slipper grows vibrant pink oblong radishes about 1-3 inches long with mild flavor and crisp white flesh, is fast-growing, heat-tolerant and adaptable to a wide variety of soil conditions. These radishes will grow quickly and are tasty, excellent steamed, braised, raw as a snack, the radish greens make a festive salad green or garnish.

Planting:Plant seeds as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Use a hoe handle or stick to make a 1/2 inch furrow deep down the center of the ridge. Plant 3-4 seeds in the furrows spaced 1 inch apart within the rows. Cover lightly with loose soil then sprinkle with water. You may make several plantings 8-10 days apart for a steady supply of radishes. They will be ready for harvest about 4-5 weeks from planting.
