Toma Verde Tomatillo, also called the Mexican husk tomato, is a plant that bears full-round, green fruit caped in husks hailing from Mexico, They have a unique flavor that is tart, bright and almost citrusy. They are mainly eaten cooked, but can also be prepared raw. When boiled or roasted, tomatillos become a little sweeter and lose some of their tartness.
