Wisconsin SMR58 Pickling Cucumber was developed at the University of Wisconsin, and successfully produces big yields of excellent pickling cucumbers, specially bred for pickling. It is a top producer and is scab-resistant and cucumber mosiac virus-resistant. This blunt, thin-skinned variety is a perfect match for pickling. Wisconsin SMR58 Pickling cucumbers grow up to 6 inches long. Pick them at 2 to 3 inches for gherkins, or at 4 inches for fresh eating as slicers.
